7 rules that are important to observe when meeting with stray dogs

Nobody is protected from a meeting with an aggressive animal, and in order to save one's life, one must know how to act in such a situation correctly.

Unfortunately, situations when street dogs attack are not uncommon, and few people know how to act properly. Cynologists give some effective advice, which must be known to both adults and children.

1. Turn on ignore.

The main cause of animal aggression, oddly enough, is fright because of human actions. A dog can be frightened, for example, with loud laughter or active gesticulation. If you notice that the animal is alert and keeps you out of your eyes, you do not need to stop or run, the best solution in this situation is to pass by holding the object in the field of view, but not looking into his eyes. If possible, then walk around the dog the other way.

2. Make yourself felt.

Animals can be frightened if they do not notice a person who has come too close, so if you walk along the street and see animals nearby, then let them know about yourself. For example, you can just clear your throat. Attention! You do not need to openly smile: the dog will perceive your broad smile as a grin and an occasion for an attack.

3. Signs that the animal is set up unfriendly.

There are several obvious signs that indicate that "the situation smells of fried": the nervous twitching of the tail, ears forward, protruding hair on the withers and on the spine, grinning, grumbling, barking and roaring.

4. What if the animal shows aggression?

Seeing that the dog is set up unfriendly, it is necessary to estimate the distance between you. If it is large, then the best solution is to ignore, that is, keep moving as if nothing happened. When the object starts to approach quickly, you can try to frighten it by lifting a stone or stick from the ground, well, or at least pretend to do it. Do not bend over if the dog is very close, as this may be a convenient occasion for her to attack. The way out in such a situation is to say "Fu!" Or "Go out!" In a severe low voice.

5. We rebuff the aggressive dog.

If the above advice did not help and the animal started to pull on clothes, jump and try to bite, then you need to defend yourself. If there is no possibility to take a stick, then use everything that is at hand, for example, a pen, long keys, a comb, coins, a heel and so on. By the way, even a simple cellophane package can help, which needs to be filled with air and burst. A loud sound can scare off an aggressive animal.

6. No fear, only confidence and pressure.

Such situations are not the time to panic and shake with fear, it will only give the animal an excuse to attack. Cynologists recommend, on the contrary, to behave outside the box to puzzle the dog. Confidence in their abilities can frighten a dog who understands that the forces are not equal and better to escape.

7. You need to know where to beat.

If you understand that the fight is imminent, then act like this: wrap your hand with a scarf or outer clothing and put it forward, thereby allowing the dog to cling to it. You can try to substitute her bag or shoes. When the animal makes a jump, try to knock it down by striking the shoulder, neck or chest area. If the dog grabs his hand, pull him to him and begin to beat him, applying as much effort as possible to the main pain points: the tip of the nose, nose bridge, eyes, occipital region, genitals, joints of the paws, coccyx and zone behind the ears. During the fight, protect your throat, pressing your chin to your neck. Attention! The dog will look at the place for which she wants to bite.
