Crafting something with your own hand is always fascinating and useful. A wooden chest of drawers will provide you with not only an interesting occupation, but also an exclusive and stylish thing in the interior, where you can fit or display decent things for everyone.

Step-by-step instruction:

1. We master the main part . The basis for the chest is made according to the same rules as the TV stand . To do this, we just take and cut the chipboard in size, which was originally measured and applied to the chipboard panel. The base will include two horizontal panels, two side surfaces, two dividing panels and more legs that separate the surfaces.
2. Niches . In the middle part we attach two niches, and on the sides we attach one. Each part should be spread with glue and then screwed.
3. The upper part . You will need four boards that need to be processed with sandpaper. On each surface it is required to make six gaps and connect to the top surface of the chipboard. All panels should be covered with wood plugs. Perform final grinding.
4. Facade design . Two panels of the same width of 15 cm should be fixed on the top and bottom of the cabinet, as well as two on the sides. Facade niches and vertical elements are closed by boards with a width of 5 cm.
5. We produce sliding doors . Using the same gaps, we connect four panels with a width of 15 cm. We close each gap with plugs, we polish the surfaces of the doors.
6. Chest painting . The facade and partitions are painted with white paint. For all the remaining parts a special stain of a light shade is applied. Let's paint and stain dry, treat all surfaces with sandpaper and perform another layer in this way.
7. Metal painting . Each element of metal for connecting the sliding system is treated with black paint.
8. The bottom corner . At the bottom of the structure, you should attach an angle that will act as a stopper, preventing the doors from opening arbitrarily.
9. Upper support . On the upper support should go door wheels. We attach it by means of a long bolt and a tube made of metal. The clearance from the side to the support should be 4 cm, and from the top from the beginning of the boards to the support - 4.5 cm.
10. We join the doors . It is necessary to retreat 5 cm from the beginning and attach the plate from the metal by means of bolts. In the upper part of the surface, you must fasten the wheel, which will travel along the support.
