Mangal-suitcase

Even when buying a mobile barbecue for outdoor recreation, you need to make a conscious choice: it must be a stable design with sufficient wall thickness. The heat in it will last longer and the shish kebabs will turn out tastier. On what other parameters to pay attention, getting a folding brazier-suitcase, we will tell in this article.

How to choose a portable brazier-suitcase?

The purchase of an unstable barbecue can be justified by the need to take it with you when you go on a picnic in the forest or to the river. It has compact dimensions and light weight, which makes it easy to fit into the trunk of the car and can accompany you everywhere.

A wide range of such models can meet any need: in this or that number of skewers, the price ratio and the size in the assembled state. But there are moments that need to be paid attention to not to lose:

  1. It is important that the size and depth of the brazier itself is sufficient, otherwise the food will be charred from excessive proximity to heat. Optimum, that from skewers to the bottom was 15 cm
  2. The thickness of the walls of the barbecue suitcase should be at least 1.5 cm. The brazier with thin walls is suitable only for making sausages.
  3. As the base should not choose aluminum legs - they are unreliable and the whole design turns out to be unsafe: when overturning you can get injured or cause a fire.
  4. The number of skewers you choose, based on their needs. Mangal suitcase is usually designed for 6 and 8 skewers. Depending on this, the length of the barbecue will differ. But the width should be no more than 30 cm, otherwise the skewers will fail inward.
  5. Depending on the intensity of using the brazier, choose a product from a particular price category: cheap models will last a couple of seasons with frequent use, and expensive ones, respectively, longer. But if for a summer you go to nature only a couple of times, then in an expensive brazier there is no need.
  6. Also, barbecue can differ in the way of completeness: it can be a brazier in a plastic suitcase or a brazier-suitcase made of metal, when the walls of the suitcase are disassembled elements of the brazier.

When buying an assembly brazier, you should take into account its significant drawbacks, such as high requirements for the installation surface (it should be perfectly flat), the susceptibility of the mechanism to a rapid failure with regular assemblies and disassembly of the brazier, thin walls that burn out and deform fairly soon.
