Scenery is nothing, skill is everything: an unusual experiment by a photographer

Professional and novice photographers look at the same object in different ways, and this story proves that the master of his craft works wonders under any conditions and minimal costs.

Having challenged herself, professional photographer Jenna Martin invited the model, took her camera and went to the supermarket:

"Instead of looking for unusual beautiful backgrounds, I had the idea to do everything exactly the opposite," - says the girl. "I wanted to work in places that, according to generally accepted photography standards, would be considered" terrible ", Lowe's ideally suited to the description: stupid lighting, inconspicuous backdrops ...".

Here are a few conditions that Jenna put before the beginning of the experiment:

  1. Work with what's already on the location. Use only the camera, no lights or props.
  2. Do not rearrange objects in the frame.
  3. Stop shooting if someone strangers enters the frame.
"As soon as we entered the store, one of the employees asked if she could help us. "Do you mind if we take a couple of pictures?" I asked. - "The girl gave good, surprised by the image of my model."

Martin had about an hour before closing the store, and in order not to lose a minute, the photographer set to work.

"It was all cool, of course, I'm unlikely to invite my customers to take photos at Lowe's, although ... never say never! I'm happy with the result." Mastery is everything, scenery is nothing! "My advice: when you see the most unsuitable place for shooting, give him chance, you never know what it will turn out to be. "
"Lowe's home goods hypermarket was ideally suited to description: stupid lighting, inconspicuous backdoors ..."
