Stevie Wonder and Madonna honored Prince's memory on the Billboard Music Awards-2016

If the performance of Britney Spears at the ceremony of the Billboard Music Awards, thundered in Las Vegas, was recognized as the most enchanting, then the most unusual and memorable number was the entrance to the stage of Madonna and Stevie Wonder. Legends performed several songs of Prince, who died in April. Their show was closing the award.

Touching and stylish

Madonna appeared in front of the audience in a brilliant suit, leaving frank concert garments for another occasion. The pop diva, sitting on the throne with a cane in her hand, sang the song of Prince Nothing Compares To You, and at the end of the number Stevie Wonder joined her and they dueted Purple Rain.

The performance accompanied the showing of photographs of the deceased musician on large screens. When the last chord of the hit sounded, the audience burst into applause, which lasted ten minutes.

Choosing a Tribute

Shortly before the ceremony, when it became known that Madge would become one of the special participants in the gala concert, which will perform the number-tribute, the critics were showered on the organizers. They were reproached that they entrusted the execution of the hits of Prince Madonna.

In response, the organizers in a correct form stated that they did not doubt that the singer would perform fantastically, showing great personal respect for Prince, with whom she had known for many years personally and whose death she had mourned.
