American model Amanda Booth and her son Mika with Down syndrome have decorated the cover of the new number of the Dutch tabloid Vogue Living. The girl not only showed reporters her country house in the Los Angeles hills, but also told about the specifics of the upbringing of the "sunny" baby.
About the house and hospitality
Amanda with her husband Mike and her son, deliberately chose life in a country house surrounded by nature, because they love traveling, hiking and hanging out in camping:
"For some reason it seems to some that we have" fled "from all such distances because of Down's syndrome of our baby, but this is not so. We really love nature and tried to find a house in the closest proximity to greenery and clean air. You will not believe, but we have even a hundred-year-old palm on the plot, I suspect that it has been here since prehistoric times. "

The model noted that it is very difficult for her to combine her upbringing and career, so she feels special gratitude towards her mother:
"My mother took most of the trouble. After the son was diagnosed with Down syndrome, she threw everything and moved to us. She abandoned her life and this is the essence of parenthood ... to support, grow and release. I'm not tired of thanking her for this! "
