The prototype of the loffers was the so-called "Eurlansky moccasins", made in 1930 by the shoemaker Nils Gregoriusson Twaranger. They liked the Norwegians so much that they began not only to wear them themselves, but also to export them to other European countries.
The model of "Eurlansky moccasins" was taken for example by the shoemaker from the US George Henry Bass. He began to produce a similar footwear called "Norwegians", which was originally worn only at home. But soon the "Norwegians" gained such popularity that they entered the men's wardrobe of Americans - they began to wear them with suits.
Currently, heeled shoes are used as shoes for work, leisure, everyday wear. Despite some severity and brevity, it is not suitable for formal events.
