This Hollywood diva has been paying attention to this problem for a long time and is striving with all its might to contribute to its solution and to the settlement of the conflict that has arisen.

Angelina's visit to the Greek camp

In order to assess the situation with her own eyes and talk with refugees in Greece, Angelina Jolie went to the port of Piraeus, a part of Greater Athens. In this city there is a sector of temporary accommodation of immigrants from Syria and other countries, in which today more than 4,000 people live. It is there on the ferries deliver migrants from all the islands of Greece in the Aegean Sea.

As soon as she arrived in the camp, the star was surrounded on all sides by refugees of different ages. The actress herself and her guards were forced to persuade the men and women for a long time to move to a sufficient distance so as not to endanger their lives. Despite this, the superstar remained calm and kindly explained to the migrants that she came to help them.

During her visit, the actress and director also planned to visit the migration distribution centers on the island of Lesbos, however, at the last moment this part of the trip was canceled.
