Only in 1886 the authorities of the city of Lausanne decided to build on the square the Palace of Justice specially for the Supreme Court of Switzerland. It was in front of him in 1902 that a monument was erected to William Tell, the national hero of the country.

1909 is considered the year of the opening of the casino Montbéon, the improvement of which caused the development of the park. The casino was sustained in the Florentine style, and around it was a cozy garden. In 1984, the construction of an underground multi-storey parking lot was completed, on which a lawn with a lawn, fountains and even an amphitheater was also formed.
