Conditionally we will divide all existing models of the kettle by the type of heating on the campfire and on dry fuel. The main difference will be the size and some details of the design itself. In order to make it easier, we'll define the main characteristics in the list:
- In specialized stores you will find kettles made of aluminum, steel and even titanium . Separately, I want to touch just a kettle from stainless steel. It is important to understand that stainless steel is different. There are both expensive and cheap options. In fact, steel can be corroded, only this process is long, and therefore inconspicuous. Aluminum can also be with and without special coating.
- Many models of the kettle are designed for heating on dry fuel. Differ by the fact that it is not possible to hang them evenly over the fire. Yes, and the design itself has plastic parts, which over the fire will melt. The second difference is the size. Almost all types of kettle on dry fuel have a very small volume, they are designed for one or two people. But the campfire kettle often has a capacity of up to three liters, is equipped with a strainer inside and is made without plastic parts. Here you already choose the required volume of water and take into account the capacity of your trunk or backpack.
- And finally, the very form of a teapot. It can be customary for us with a long spout, there are models similar to large jars, but there is also almost no spout. Here we start from compactness and our aesthetic desires. As for the convenience of use, even very short spouts do not prevent the water from pouring into the cups, the design is thoroughly thought out.
