Prince is one of the most famous and popular performers in the genre of rhythm and blues. His revolutionary contribution to the development of this direction lies in the fact that he was able to combine the previously existing separate directions within the framework of this genre. Lyrical soul in the traditional performers was contrasted with a clockwork dance funk. However, Prince was able to use both of these directions to write his songs, thus getting a fresh and unlike sound of his first records, all the texts and musical parts for which he wrote on his own. Relying on the creativity of this musician, critics started talking about a special "Minneapolis sound" (Prince was born in Minneapolis and started his career there), which was opposed to the classical and softer "Philadelphia sound".
Later albums of Prince, as well as his work on musical themes for films and songs for other performers, could make the musician one of the most famous, titled and respected performers of the 80s and 90s. He is the owner of all the most prestigious music awards, as well as an Oscar for the song for the film "Purple Rain." His compositions and records have more than once been in the lead in the world's leading charts. Later periods of his career are also known for bold experiments with the sound and format of songs.
Prince was a multi-instrumentalist (a man who owns several musical instruments), composed music and texts. His first records he recorded almost independently, which, of course, required him a lot of energy and a lot of time. His tour was also as tight as possible. Already in the mid-80's, he had to take a long break in his career to restore the undermined health. However, after returning to the stage, he continued to give his best at concerts and in the studio.

The cause of the death of the singer Prince was never officially announced. Most likely, it is associated with a general exhaustion of the body, because the 57-year-old artist continued active touring activities.
Some time before the death of the musician, April 15, he needed urgent medical help when he was in his plane after the concerts in the city of Atlanta. The pilot had to make an emergency landing, so that doctors could hospitalize the singer. Then the press agents of Prince said that the performer is struggling with the consequences of the flu-borne flu, because of which earlier he had to cancel several concerts.
However, soon the musician left the clinic and moved to his house in Paisley Park, where on April 21 he was completely alone. When he was found, he was still alive, but the doctors could not save him, and that same day the singer died.
After the American singer Prince died, an autopsy was scheduled for April 22 to determine the cause of death. The official cause of death was never named, but relatives claim that the singer was very exhausted, suffered from protracted insomnia - and all this against the background of the influenza and caused the death of the artist.

Another version was put forward by a number of foreign media outlets. According to them, since the 90s Prince had a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which was carefully concealed. But recently the disease went into an active stage, Prince received AIDS, which was the main cause of the imminent death.
