Clinker tile for brick

The first Europeans who started clinker use for construction work were the Dutch. They invented how to convert plastic clay with water and special firing into a high-quality ceramic stone. At first it was used as a road surface, which, by the way, speaks of the high strength of this material. Soon, the Dutch, who were in dire need of a natural stone for the construction of residential buildings, realized that the clinker would be a good substitute for it in this important matter.

Now there are three types of clinker - clinker brick for roads and sidewalks, facade tiles or facade clinker panels for bricks, extruded billets for decorating various complex architectural compositions. All of these products have a good appearance and works well where the coating should withstand various external influences.

Laying clinker tiles for bricks

The installation of this material does not significantly differ from the work on laying ordinary ceramic tiles. The wall, first of all, is checked for strength, the old paint is removed, and the surface is leveled and wetted. If you are dealing with a concrete wall, it is better to first apply a rough coat of plaster with the installation of a facade mesh. Colored or white clinker tiles for bricks are placed after the plaster has dried. Further, the usual construction work is carried out - the level is knocked out, universal tile glue is applied and tiles are put. The depth of the teeth on the spatula with the comb is 8-10 mm. The seam is regulated by special removable inserts (thickness 5-10 mm), after the end of laying it should be rubbed with glue or special compounds. Important nuance - this tile is installed only in a rush.

Choice of clinker tiles

Now the consumer has the opportunity to choose material of different colors. There is clinker tiles for white brick, products of milk, cream or yellow shade. In addition, there is a dark group of tiles, as well as classics - tiles for a standard red brick. The second important problem is the choice of texture. There is a clinker tile smooth, with ruts, rough, imitating old brick, glossy. Holding one sample in your hand, you can not imagine how this type of material will look in the masonry. You'll have to find a similar house, finished with the same facade material, or design a computer drawing of your mansion to see how it looks like this or that clinker tile for a brick. Better still, the second option is to create a demo model of your house, figuring not several options for facing it. Variety is a good thing, but when choosing the texture and color, it's better not to be mistaken.
