Little Gabriel was born in 1883 in the west of France. About the childhood years of Coco Chanel's life, almost nothing is known, except that she was born in a poor, even a penniless family without a home. Koko's mother died at the age of 33 from exhaustion, and her father simply left the little girl. From the age of 12, little Gabriel was brought up in a monastic shelter, which she later chose not to remember, as well as her childhood in general.

After leaving the shelter, Gabrielle settled into a knitting store, and in her free time sang for officers in the La Rotonde concert hall.
