Hypocarton sheets (GKL) not so long ago became popular during construction work. But already had time to "pass the test of time" and become an indispensable material for repair or redevelopment. Currently, it is difficult to find a freshly renovated apartment without any elements made of plasterboard.
Installation of partitions from plasterboard allows to solve a number of significant problems in the apartment:
- more rational use of space. The plasterboard partition in the room allows you to move the wall to a more suitable place, divide one room into two or zonate the room;
- correction of construction defects. Often, residential buildings are rented with very uneven walls, while not located at right angles to the walls or ceiling;
- saving square meters. The thickness of the plasterboard partition can range from 7.5 to 12 cm. While the thickness of a stationary stone wall does not exceed 15 cm. This, of course, is not much, but in some cases this footprint is crucial;

In addition, interior partitions from gypsum board are very easy to remove, remake or move.

Installation of plasterboard partitions
For the installation of partitions from the GCR, you first need to make the markings on which the profile will be mounted. Through the guide profile, firmly pressed to the surface, drill holes with a diameter of 6 mm at a distance of 30 cm from each other with a drill. In them the dowel is driven. The profile is screwed to the surface using self-tapping screws. Further the basic profiles (racks) which length should correspond to height of a partition are cut. They are attached to the guide profiles until a characteristic click occurs every 40 cm. The same profiles are also installed vertically. The plasterboard partition with the door differs from the solid partition by the presence of a cross bar in the installation site.

After fixing all the profiles, screws of a small size are screwed with sheets of plasterboard on one side of the structure. The distance between the screws should not exceed 25 mm. Sound insulation of the plasterboard partitions is achieved by means of the distribution between mineral wool profiles, which acts as a soundproofing device. There they also lay necessary communications. After this, the second side of the structure is also covered with plasterboard. From this point on, you can start finishing.
