Installation of polyurethane ceiling skirting boards

Polyurethane skirting boards can be mounted on any glue. But it must quickly dry up, because it is not a pleasant experience to stand with your hands raised to the ceiling for a long time. The most common materials for installing polyurethane skirting boards include liquid nails, Moment glue and any silicone sealants.

The most difficult when installing ceiling skirting boards is the correct cutoff for their docking in the corner. But this problem is solved with the help of corner segments or special carpenter's wort. Here one should remember one simple rule that when cutting skirting boards for an external corner, their upper parts are always longer than the bottom ones. And for the inner corner, on the contrary - the upper parts are shorter than the lower ones. Before proceeding to gluing the plinth, the surface of the wall and ceiling must be cleaned of dust and primed. After that you can proceed with installation. Glue on the surface of the plinth is applied either by drops or by wavy lines, and then tightly pressed against the joint of the wall and ceiling. Begin to glue the plinth always follows from the corner of the room.

In addition, the ceiling polyurethane skirting can be used as a basis for lighting. There are no additional difficulties when installing it. But in this case, the skirting board is glued at a distance of 10-20 cm from the ceiling surface, and in order to do it smoothly, it is necessary to use a level. Also skirting boards for lighting should not be chosen very deep, so that they do not cover the light. And after the plinth is glued, you can start installing fluorescent lamps or LED strips. With this design of the contour lighting of the room, the effect is no worse than when building a three-level ceiling, but much cheaper.
