Prayer for drinking

It would be half bad if alcoholism captivated only the human body. Suffer and die, first of all, the soul of the patient, because a person as if ceases to be himself, loses faith, will, forgets what he once loved and was loved. A drunk turns into an animal, driven by the only instinct - to finish what he can not live without, that is, alcohol.

If an alcoholic can not independently abandon alcohol, he will not have the spiritual strength to pray and ask God to deliver him from this serpent. Relatives and close people should ask the Almighty in prayers to save the unfortunate person from drunkenness.

Prayers for healing from drunkenness are read before the icons "The Inexhaustible Chalice" and "The Execution of the Dead", they also ask for help from prayers to Jesus Christ, Saint Boniface, Ion of Kronstadt and Moses Murin. Three saints once managed to get rid of dependence with the help of God, and the icon "Inexhaustible Chalice" - since the XIX century is a symbol of the healing of drunkards.

The Inexhaustible Chalice

This story is associated with the story of a miracle, which later saved the lives and souls of many thousands of patients who came and addressed the Mother of God with words of prayers against drunkenness.

The appearance of the icon "The Inexhaustible Chalice" occurred in 1898. A retired soldier who lived in the Tula province was drunk, drinking and retiring, and everything that was in the house. From alcohol, his legs took him away, completely lowered and impoverished, he continued to drink.

One day the soldier dreamed of an elder who ordered him to go to the temple in Serpukhov to serve a prayer before the icon of the Mother of God "The Inexhaustible Chalice". Without money and without legs, the man did not dare to go.

Then the elder dreamed twice more, and the soldier was afraid to disobey him.

At night he stopped in a small village with an old woman. Since he was walking on all fours, the woman felt sorry for him, rubbed his legs and put him to sleep on the stove. In the morning he managed to continue his journey, leaning on a cane.

Arriving at the temple, the peasant asked to serve a moleben before the "Inexhaustible Chalice", but it turned out that no one had heard of such an icon. Then, it occurred to someone that this is an icon that hangs on the way out of the temple. How were all surprised when on the back of the icon with the cup, it was written "Inexhaustible chalice".

Moleben and prayers for healing from drunkenness, which the peasant prayed to the Mother of God, acted. He returned home not only on his feet, but also with a healed soul.

Holy Wonaphathy

Vonifati lived in Rome in the slavery of a noble Roman woman, with whom they indulged in debauchery and wine drinking. The souls of both tormented committed sins, so the mistress of Vonifatia, hearing about the healing effect of the relics of the saints, sent him for them.

On the way, Vonifati repented of his sins and asked God to send him punishment so that he could prove his faith and repentance. Vonifati received what he asked for. Arriving at the relics, he took a martyr's death for believing in God at the hands of the Gentiles.

Since then, prayers to Saint Boniface have been aided by drunkenness and depravity. Saint Boniface became the defender of all drunkards, after which people began asking him for help from all over the world.

Moses Murin

Moses Murin was an Ethiopian, a black slave, then a robber. Murin means "Ethiopian," such a simple name was for the servant of Moses. From the master's house, he was banished for killing other slaves. After this, Moses met with robbers and thugs, soon becoming their leader.

A lot of blood was spilled over Moses Murin, and one day, he repented, abandoned his past occupation and went to the temple.

After serving in the temple for several years, he decided to become a hermit and live in a deserted cell. There, for many years Moses asked God for salvation - he prayed at night all the time, tortured his body with fasting, and then spent the nights, filling secretly the vessels of the travelers with water.

Moses became an example for many robbers who also repented and began to lead a righteous lifestyle .
