Review of the book "Home, Sweet Home - Illustrated Guide to Interior Design, Deborah Needleman"

Home Sweet Home . Lovely book. Even if you do not have enough time to finish reading it, and you pay very little time to read it, I'm sure you will like it. She is from a series of books that make you think about yourself, even if you are engaged in something. Beautiful colorful decoration! Special thanks to the artist-illustrator. Reads easily. The book is filled with useful advice on design, interior decoration. I can say this - if you are new to this business, but you have a craving for beauty, art, aesthetics, this book is especially for you.

Well, now I want to talk more about my impressions. Yes, that's right, after all, I was really impressed by this book. How nevertheless noticeable, when the author writes with a soul. I think this is happening in all areas, whether it's writing a book, a portrait, or creating a new interior sketch.

I remember one of the thoughts of Deborah: "The simple secret is that every design decision should contribute to the creation of beauty and convenience. Beauty - to sharpen feelings, convenience - to feel care. " To the last phrase, I would add more and coziness. After all, when the apartment is beautiful and comfortable, but not cozy, all the charm of the designer's work is lost. I really liked the chapter about lighting. In many ways, I agree with the author, but I also made many new things for myself.

I also admire the division of chapters not by the names of rooms, as authors of books with similar themes often do, but the distribution of apartment plots to places for communication, cordial reception, places for books, drinks and legs. Very unusual, but interesting. Good advice on decorating, as well as receiving guests, which was quite unexpected. A couple of tips on serving, came very handy. And, of course, the lessons of style were on top. It is enough attention of Deborah gave smells and aromas in the house. After all, the sources of background smells of our life - everything that surrounds us: coffee, food, books, children and so on. And they significantly affect our mood and attitude.
