Absolutely unique discovery has amazed the world public - physicians have scanned 1000-year-old mummified body of the Buddhist monk and have found out, that its skeleton and a brain are unharmed!
Master Ci Xian, whose body was subjected to computed tomography, was one of the most revered preachers of Buddhism. It is known that he had to distribute the "teachings of the Enlightened One" from India to China itself. Historical records recorded the stay of Tsi Xian in the territory of the Khitan Empire in the northeastern part of modern China in the interval between 916 and 1125 years, where the teacher translated 10 sutras into Chinese characters that have survived to this day on plates. For his work, the monarch of Khitan honored Tsi Xian with the title of national Buddhist master.
According to Master Du from the Dinghui Temple in Vuan (Hebei Province, northern China), Buddhist monks always feel when their demise is close and tell their students how they want to go to eternity-to be cremated or to keep their body. And if the teacher chooses the second option, then after death the remains of the deceased are placed in a large ceramic container with anti-corrosive substances for three years, after which they are removed and covered with a special paste made on the basis of rice. And here everything is secret becomes a reality - if the teacher has reached his enlightened level for his life, his body will not rot!
After the death of Ts Sian, his disciples did everything as the teacher bequeathed, but then the mummy was considered lost for several hundred years.
In the 1970s, the remains of the monk were again found and moved to the Dinghui Temple, where in 2011 they were covered with gold.
On July 8, in the same temple, in the presence of the media, monks and pilgrims, the doctors conducted a computer tomography of the mummified body of the teacher Tsi Siana and were shocked at the result - the preacher who died more than a thousand years ago had whole bones and the brain was not destroyed!
Dr. Wu Yongqing summarized the opening:
"We can see that his bones are as healthy as the bones of an ordinary person ....
... upper jaw, upper teeth, ribs, spine and all joints in perfect order. It's just incredible! "
The bones and brain of the mummified body of the monk turned out to be unharmed, despite several hundred years!
