Sexual development of girls
Most rapidly it starts at about 11-13 years. Here are its main features:
- a sharp jump in growth;
- development and growth of mammary glands;
- gradual appearance of hairs on the pubis and in the armpits;
- skin changes: the appearance of blackheads, unpleasant body odor, increased hairiness of hair;
- the onset of the first menstruation.
Sexual development in boys
The children begin this process a little later, from about 13 to 18 years. Age, when the stages of puberty pass, are called pubertal, and it is in it begins the manifestation of the first signs:
- formation of a male-type bone system;
- the disappearance of subcutaneous fat in the scrotum, the appearance of small folds and pigmentation;
- an increase in the size of the testicles and penis;
- spleen and pubescence in the axillary zones;
- increased larynx, voice mutation;
- the appearance of blackheads;
- growth jump.
The delay in sexual development consists in the absence of the above signs in the adolescent who has reached the upper limit of the required age.
In addition to delaying sexual development, it may be, on the contrary, premature development in adolescents, which begins much earlier. The causes of such a malfunction in the body can be a variety of lesions of the central nervous system.
