How does the installation of the window board begin?
The installation of the PVC window sill begins with measurements and adjustment of the board for the required dimensions. Not always the product comes into the wall by several centimeters, but there is always an overlap in width. The gap between the walls and the product should be several millimeters. This will simplify installation. In addition, this is a must, since these compensating sutures are designed to expand and contract the plastic during temperature fluctuations.
- So, try the workpiece to the window.
- Next, you need to make a markup for the points of support of the structure. The overhang from the edge is no more than 10 cm, the step with the subsequent slats is no more than 80 cm.
- After that, the working surface must be cleaned of dust and dirt, the slats and the sill board are degreased to ensure maximum adhesion to the glue mixture.

- On the wedges is applied glue on a polyurethane base, it better binds the materials with different texture. Do not forget about checking the level horizontality.
- All components of the support points are carefully smeared with glue and pressed against each other. The rules of mounting the window sills again require that the board be "planted" on the support part.
- The distance between the slats is better filled with a heater (mineral wool) to make the base warmer. Alternatively, free space can be blown out by foam. The final layer of glue is applied to the supports.
- The skimmed sill is installed on the prepared surface.
- The installation of the window sill with its own hands ends with the laying of something heavy on the working area, for example, bricks (under the bottom, spread the newspaper or fabric so as not to scratch the plastic). All cracks and expansion joints are sealed with a sealant over the tape for accurate joints, then it is removed.
