3 quick ways to sew stylish things from a sweater

Do not rush out your old sweater. Of course, you may be tired of wearing this thing, but using the minimum sewing skills, you can create stylish leggings, a fashionable scarf-snood and a very practical headband that you can wear, for example, while applying a nourishing mask to your face.

By the way, the thing may not be yours. Take an old sweater of your lover (though, at first specify, it is exact whether it is not necessary to him). Of men's clothing, you can create more and more of all kinds of warm accessories than women's.

1. Gaiters

To begin with, cut off the sleeves of the sweater. Cut off along the seam, and then - across the top.

Then you need to grind the armhole. Turn about 1 cm of fabric. Fix it with needles and sew by either a machine or by hand.

The same is done with the second sleeve. That's all! Now you have stylish leggings that you can wear over leggings during sports or on top of pantyhose under an autumn dress.

Advice: before sewing leggings, make sure that the width of the sleeve will not be great for you. In extreme cases, it will be necessary to sew an elastic band to the armhole.

2. Scarf-snood

To create it, we need the bulk of the sweater, without sleeves. Of these, we have sewn leggings. So, we cut it from the armpit to the armpit (the neck area is not needed, it will go to the bandage, which will be discussed below).

We will take measurements. It would be desirable after all, that the snod was not very long, and therefore its lower part (the one closest to the neck of the sweater) is cut to 10 cm (it all depends on the initial length of your thing).

Then fold the edges twice and trim them by hand or on a typewriter. The latter option will save your time.

One-two and turned out a stylish scarf! By the way, if the sweater was a bright color scheme, then such a spring snore will cool any image.

3. Head bandage

So, now we have gaiters and snows. From the remaining fabric, cut a strip of 10x50 cm.

Fold it in half and sew on the front side. Through the end holes we twist our workpiece.

Sew together the ends. Try to sew so that during socks the seam was not noticeable.

Done! That turned out a nice accessory, which, by the way, can be worn in cool weather.
