7 inventions that have never been improved

Modern technologies completely subordinated to themselves the life of people. Young people consider the days before the release of the new gadget, paper books gave way to electronic, and in the kitchen for the hostess has long been preparing dinner and even will wash the dishes of an ordinary household appliance.

Yes, the rapid improvement of household items makes our life more comfortable and easier. Just think, if we were writing today the graduation paper of the original 1868 hands of the Sholes or Glidden firms, there would not have been room on the fingers without calluses! And the entrance lock would have to be opened for more than a quarter of an hour, if it remained today like it was at the time of its creation.

But, no matter how paradoxical it may sound, there are still a couple of inventions, which for the sex and even the age-old life did not come to anyone's mind to improve!

1. Air-bubble film

In the late 1950s, the air bubbling polyethylene film was invented by the efforts of the engineers Alfred Fielding and Mark Chavannes, which to this day gives humanity one of the most unusual types of soothing and tactile entertainment! Yes, we are talking about a film with pimples, which both children and adults love to burst. But you are surprised to learn that at first the inventors were simply trying to create a new material for wallpaper that would be convenient to glue and wash! But alas - no one appreciated this design decision, and since then and to this day the air-bubble film is used to store and transport fragile and very valuable items and do not plan to change anything else!

2. Barbed wire

More than a hundred years ago, in the prairies of Texas and Oklahoma, farmers did not have enough materials to construct the fences of such cattle necessary for grazing. And the trees practically did not grow in this area. But the way out was found by four local boys. In 1870, they came up with a design of a fence consisting of remote pillars and a wire spiked on it with sharp spiked thorns. You guessed that savvy inventors immediately celebrated the receipt of a patent, but their invention has since been issued unchanged!

3. Teapot for tea making

Archaeologists assure that the first dishes for the beloved Eastern ritual - the brewing of tea leaves appeared during the Yuan dynasty in 1279. This invention was made of clay, created specifically for brewing one serving and, accordingly, for use by one person - sipping a fragrant drink from a comfortable spout.

On the shelves of modern shops, you can find hundreds of varieties of teapots - from porcelain designer and to plastic toy, but ... Impressive is that its original shape and perfect design, consisting of a handle, lid and spout has not been changed since then!

4. Paper clip

Stationery paper clips made of fine wire have experienced a number of transformations - they were triangular in shape, resembled wings, pretzels and even hearts, but always fulfilled only one task - to hold several sheets of paper. But the most favorite option to which we are all so accustomed - in the form of oblong oval was patented as much as 100 years ago and even has the name - "Pearl"!

5. The fly swatter

Handle with a small dense mesh at the end - a very primitive, but effective device for scaring or flapping flies, mosquitoes and wasps - there is in every house. Yes, it's just indispensable in the summer months! This "killer on the fly" brought a patent back in the distant 1900th year to the public health worker in Kansas Robert Montgomery. Then the use of the fly swatter even stopped the spread of the epidemic of diseases carried by insects. Yes, and our fans to chase an annoying mosquito or fly, instead of using chemicals, still have not lost!

6. Mousetrap

It does not matter - today it is or hundreds of years ago, but if a mouse appears in the house, then it should be disposed of immediately. These rodents are carriers of various diseases, a real threat to people's lives and food. And if you still believe that your cat or cat is ready to go hunting and prove your skills, you can sleep peacefully. But for those who are not ready to catch luck at the tail in 1894, William Hooker invented such a necessary device with a special spring. Well, in 1903, John Mast improved it. Since that day (which is more than a century) we use its original design of a mousetrap with safer loading for bait.

7. Rocking chair

Surprisingly, this wonderful piece of furniture, which has not changed since its inception, still can not get a legal pedigree. It turns out that the British insist that it was their fellow countryman who first designed it as a cot, and even found this fact in the form of a record dated 1766. But North Americans say they used it much earlier. But one of the authors of the American Constitution Benjamin Franklin simply took and purchased a patent for this design!
