First aid kit in the trek

A first-aid kit in the foot or any other hike is just as important an element as a tent or matches. In a hike in the forest, in the mountains or when floating in kayaks, anything can happen, and the first aid kit is irreplaceable. Therefore, it must be collected with the mind.

So, let's figure out how to properly assemble a first-aid kit in the campaign.

What should be in the medicine cabinet during the campaign?

Regardless of where you plan to go, the following should be available in the medicine chest:

  1. External antiseptics intended for disinfection of wounds. These include hydrogen peroxide, zelenka, levomecol in the form of ointments, antibacterial sprays.
  2. Remedies for burns (primarily spray Panthenol or Pantestim, cream Dermazin, etc.).
  3. Injection preparations (Analgin, Dimedrol, Dexamethasone, Ketanov, Furosemide, etc.), syringes, local anesthetic Lidocaine, water for injections, medical gloves.

  10. And in order to protect yourself from shock conditions in case of serious injuries, stock up with preparations "Fenazipam", "Caffeine-sodium benzoate" and usual ammonia.
  11. Repellents and all sorts of ointments against mosquitoes and ticks.
  12. Thermometer, scissors, tweezers.

Features of the first aid kit in the trek

It is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the health status of each participant in the campaign. Before leaving, one should inquire about possible chronic diseases of members hike and fill the first aid kit with appropriate medications (or give an order to each to independently purchase the necessary medications for an individual medical package). For example, in cardiovascular diseases it is recommended to stock up with such drugs as Valocordin and Nitroglycerin, an asthmatic patient other than the inhaler must take with him Prednisolone, etc. All medicines should be accompanied by instructions. Every participant in the hike must know who has medicines in the backpack.

The first aid kit should be divided into two parts - "emergency" (preparations for injections, antiseptics, funds for burns and injuries) and "planned" (tablets, thermometer and everything else). "Emergency" first-aid kit should be in the backpack so that it can be quickly reached.
