Glass interior doors

In any, even the most modern, the interior can not do without this or that number of doors. First of all, they are necessary for separation of auxiliary and domestic premises from living rooms. Also with their help you can easily solve the problem of not only dividing the space, but also quite the opposite - to create the illusion of a large room. It is for such purposes that designers-interior designers are increasingly proposing to use glass interior doors.

Glass interior doors

Deciding to decorate the interior of your house with glass doors, you should first of all determine which doors are best to install in that or the room. What is meant. Glass doors, like traditional doors, can be divided into types depending on which opening mechanism is used in them. For example, for small rooms or rooms that require privacy, it is best to use single-ended glass swinging interior doors. Their design is similar to the design of the usual doors made of wood or chipboard, with the only difference that the door leaf is a glass monolith, and special fixing fittings are used. For larger rooms (living rooms, halls), double-pane glass swing doors or pendulum-type doors that open on both sides of the attachment point are suitable.

If the radius of opening the doors will create inconvenience, then in such a situation, to save space, you can install sliding glass interior doors. But in this case, there are options. Firstly, sliding doors can also be one- and two-field. Secondly, glass interior doors can be moved to the wall, like a "coupe" or go into the wall.

Another type of glass doors that are suitable for small spaces or can be used as a kind of partition in the event of the need for separation (zoning) of space are folding glass interior doors. The glass sheet in such doors is inserted into a frame made of wood, metal or plastic and they are folded like an accordion or a screen.

Of course, designers do not refuse from traditional interior doors. But! To create more modern interiors use interior doors with glass inserts of the most bizarre shapes, of various sizes and even colors.

Glass interior doors with a pattern

We have already mentioned glass interior doors and intended for secluded rooms. It is to ensure that privacy, intimacy of the room are fully observed, use a variety of glass processing methods that make it opaque. The most common variant of such processing is glass matting by sandblasting. Widely used is the etching method. As an option, you can consider the use of a special material matolux. It is several times stronger than glass, and its matte surface freely passes light, but does not allow to see what is happening in the room. In modern monochrome interiors with the predominance of white white, the white glass interior door, made using the technology of lakobel, will look great. In addition, glass doors can act as an additional element of decor. For this, a variety of patterns can be applied to the door leaf (glass). It can be painting in stained glass technique or laser engraving. Single-color colored glass can be used. And, of course, the surface of glass interior doors can be decorated using several techniques, for example, laser engraving on colored glass.

For the production of glass interior doors, thick (8-10 mm) tempered glass or triplex (with a strong impact does not crumble) is used, which makes them quite safe to operate.
