Hanger with own hands made of wood

The usual hanger in the hall for clothes can easily be made by own hand from the available wood, you can use a board from used furniture.

In addition, you will need golden hooks 5 pieces, screws and dowels for fixing, a bit of putty (if you need to repair old holes on the board), a self-adhesive tape for the color of wood, sandpaper.

How to make a hanger from a tree with your own hands?

We will make a hanger 40 cm long with five hooks and a shelf at the top for hats. As a material we take a board about 15 cm wide and about 1 meter long.

1. We make marks on the board of 40 cm. - We need to cut the workpiece (2 identical pieces - one for the hanger and the second for the shelf).
2. To join the blanks among themselves from the remains of the board, we cut out 2 more rounded corners.
3. That's how the shelf will be collected, but the wood and corners need to be ground with sandpaper.
4. After processing, the board looks smoother.
5. If the tree has old holes from nails or screws - putty.
6. The overall design of the hanger is already ready, then the elements are pasted with a film under the tree, so the shelf will look better than the painted one, since the wood is not used any more.
7. We glue each part of the product with adhesive film.
8. Now we need to collect the hanger, to mark the places where the hooks are fixed clearly all along the same line.
9. Screw all the hooks with screws, fasten the workpieces together - and the hanger is ready.
10. Do holes in the wall, drive in dowels.
11. Screw the hanger with the shelf to the wall.

Such a hanger, made of wood with their own hands, will be used for clothes and hats. Under it you can make another stand for shoes and the hallway will be equipped with the most necessary furniture.
