Hallway-coupe

The choice of wardrobes as furniture for the hallway can be an ideal interior solution, since such variants are specially designed for the needs of the apartment owners, are very roomy, and their sliding doors do not require as much opening and closing space as the classic cabinets.

Types of hallways-compartments

In small apartments, hallways-compartments in the corridor can be the only piece of furniture for this functional area. They will easily fit not only outerwear, but also shoes, numerous accessories, and also become a storage place for things that are not worn and cleaned until next season. Depending on the size and configuration, as well as the shape of the structure, several variants of the hallways-compartment can be distinguished.

The standard wardrobe for the hallway has a width of about 60 cm and all four walls. Inside it is equipped with shelves, barbells for hanging things. Sometimes in the same place can be arranged boxes or additional compartments for storing various accessories (umbrellas, hats) or shoes. For ease of use, almost all hallways-coupes are equipped with a mirror built into one of the door leaves, which allows you not to purchase additional pieces of furniture in the hallway.

Narrow hallway-coupe allows you to save a few dozen centimeters of the room (its width usually does not exceed 40 cm). This cabinet holds a slightly smaller number of things, but its capabilities can be expanded by increasing the length of the structure or the thoughtful arrangement of the elements inside the cabinet. This option can be ideal for narrow and long hallways.

If there is an opportunity to make changes in the layout of the apartment during the construction phase or to erect several walls in an already finished dwelling, then it is quite realistic to equip the built-in hall-coupe. This option is very convenient, since the main width of the cabinet is hidden in a niche, and only the doors come forward, so this hallway-compartment will not reduce the space of the room. Depending on the area of the apartment itself, the size of this hallway can also be adjusted. You can create even a whole small dressing room , which will be located behind closed cabinet doors. There is also a semi-built version, when the closet does not have a back wall and fits snugly against the apartment wall.

The corner entrance-coupe is an option for those who have a hallway in size close to the square and there is a free angle for the installation of the cabinet. Because of its shape, the cabinet practically does not lose to the direct variant in spaciousness and, at the same time, it often looks more compact and not so massively.

Hallway compartment inside

The internal arrangement of such a cabinet can play an equally important role in its selection than the appearance and design features, because these hallways are purchased precisely for the sake of storing clothes. If it is planned to keep only the outer clothing in the hallway, it will be advisable to purchase a closet equipped with barbells for hanging things. Also, if in your wardrobe there are expensive items, for example fur coats or jackets and raincoats made of genuine leather, then you should pay attention to the cabinets of the compartment with one sash closing on the key. It will also be convenient to divide the similar compartment-compartment into two compartments: one for clothes, in the other - shelves for shoes and accessories.

If the wardrobe will store not only outerwear, but also other items of the wardrobe, then you should choose cabinets with a large number of different shelves, as well as boxes of different sizes, for convenient sorting of individual items.
