How to glue fillets?

  1. Prepare all the necessary tools: tape measure, ruler, hacksaw, stool, glue, primer.
  2. We shall surface the surface before starting work, this can be done with a roller or brush.
  3. Fastening of plinths is most convenient to begin with registration of corners. Many are frightened by a question - how to cut fillets in corners? For a quick and even result, we use a chair and a hacksaw for metal.
  4. For the fitting of the corner elements, we take the usual cardboard box.
  5. Cut off the outer left corner element.
  6. Similarly cut the right angle.
  7. To check the smoothness of the angle, we apply the workpieces to the box.
  8. Before cutting the inner corner, let's look at how the design will look ready. To do this, take two fillets and manually attach to the ceiling.
  9. Check that the bottom of the fillet is at the top of the chair, it should be closer to you.
  10. Guided by markings on the instrument, cut the plinth at the right angle.
  11. Another angle is cut also, but only from the opposite side.
  12. Check the evenness on the box.
  13. On the ceiling, we mark the intersection of fillets.
  14. We apply glue on the whole surface of the plinth.
  15. We fix the plinth.
  16. Press the fillets until the glue leaves from under it.
  17. If there is a lack of glue, we add it safely to the cracks.
  18. Surplus is smeared on top.
  19. Measured baguette fasten back to the glued part.
  20. The correct result is the beginning of the next corner.
  21. In places of connection we use a lot of glue.
  22. For better grip in the junction areas, attach the fillets with needles to the ceiling.
  23. We check the result by the rule, and if the junction does not appear, then we have done our job perfectly.
