Laminate laying technology
To install a laminated panel you will need tools:
- level to check the smoothness of the surface;
- drill;
- roulette;
- knife;
- self-adhesive tape;
- pencil;
- wedges for styling;
- staples for skirting boards;
- a jigsaw;
- vapor barrier film;
- substrate;

- Before starting the installation, the material should lie in the room for 48 hours.
- A foundation is prepared. It is necessary to check the level of the floor with the help of a level, to fix up all the cracks, to eliminate irregularities. To do this, you can use self-leveling mixes or chipboard slabs.
- A vapor barrier film is applied to the entire surface. She turns on the walls to the height of the plinth.
- The film must be overlapped and glued with a moisture-proof tape.
- The substrate is placed on top.
- Each panel is checked visually for damage, differences in decor or gloss.
- Panels should be mounted perpendicular to the window. The first row should be laid with a comb to the wall. To connect the ends you need to put the comb of the second panel on the groove of the previous one and hit it with your hand or with a rubber mallet.
- Between the panels and all elements of the room (walls, columns, pipes), leave the expansion joints 10 mm. For this you can use plastic wedges.
- Installation of the second row and all subsequent ones should begin with long ridges. And then, gently pressing, put the panel on the floor.
- As an option, it is possible to lay the laminate properly with your own hands with a displacement of 1/2 length. Each second row starts with a panel cut in half. To do this, you need to trim the laminate panels with a jig saw or a Bulgarian.
- After installing the last row of panels, the plinth and the door are reinforced.
- The installation is complete. The floors are suitable for use immediately after installation.
