International Day of Tolerance

With the initiative of UNESCO, the whole world celebrates the International Day of Tolerance on November 16. It was this number of 1995 that the principles of tolerance, of unlimited size, were voiced, which has real chances to stop any war on our planet. The creation of the legislative base is the first attempt to return the culture of communication to the people. Ability to respect the views and tastes of others, not to divide people by age, race and religion - these are unspoken rules, which, unfortunately, is not accepted by every society.

How is World Day of Tolerance celebrated?

Many cities have special programs that aim to change people's thinking. Administrations are attracted by sponsors who are willing to pay for the production of special literature, calendars, posters and manuals. Since the formed personality is very difficult to convince, all efforts are directed to schoolchildren and students, distributing printed publications among educational institutions.

The International Day of Tolerance is a date that is famous for the activities directed towards the culture and traditions of other peoples. Therefore, it is not surprising that in November a huge number of festivals, concerts and just friendly meetings are held. The active participation of young people of different nationalities in them proves that, despite the differences, people can be together.

A great tradition is the communication of school children with elderly people, who often lack attention and human warmth. They gladly share life experience, fill the halls to enjoy the children's laughter and watch the concert. Communication of different generations positively affects, first of all, the children themselves, who learn to respect the elders .

Tolerance prevents the disintegration of states and social explosions. This should be understood by politicians and statesmen. Philanthropy in the higher sense of this word will save not only the world, but our souls.
