International Ballet Day

The forerunner of the International Ballet Day was the International Dance Day, which since 1982 was approved by UNESCO and is celebrated on April 29, the day the French choreographer Zh.Z. Noverre is the "father of modern ballet". He was a reformer of ballet art and did a lot for dance art.

The holiday is devoted to all directions of dance, as according to the plan of its founders this day is called to unite all styles of dances as a uniform form of art. On this day all over the world, people are free to speak the same language - the language of the dance, which unites regardless of political views, race and color.

April 29 the whole dancing world celebrates its professional holiday. All dance companies, opera and ballet theaters, ensembles of ballroom, folk and modern dance, amateur artists - absolutely everyone celebrate this day. This is mainly manifested in the display of concerts, performances, unusual performances, dance flash mobs and so on.

World Ballet Day

This holiday, glorifying the art of world ballet, appeared later. The Day of Ballet is celebrated on October 1 , including in Russia, and on this date around the world are not just celebrations, but live broadcasts from the world's ballet theaters.

The audience can see what is happening behind the scenes in the rehearsal halls of such famous theaters as Bolshoi Ballet (Moscow), Australian Ballet (Melbourne), National Ballet of Canada (Toronto), Ballet of San Francisco, Royal Ballet ( London ).
