History of creation

The construction of the incredible park "Italy in Miniature" began back in 1970, when Ivo Rambaldi decided to fulfill his childhood dream of a toy city. But not easy, but which would give an idea of visitors about the main attractions of Italy.

Masters spent a huge amount of time creating these miniature masterpieces. For the construction of each model, over which the modeling team worked at once, it took about six months of work. One of the difficulties that the masters had to face was the selection of suitable material. Since the models are in the open, the material from which they are made must be resistant to temperature changes and different weather conditions. In the end, it was decided to make designs from resin foamed in a special way. It met all the necessary requirements and was able to withstand different temperatures while maintaining its appearance. In the opening year in the park were presented only 50 models, now the number of miniatures is already over 270.
