Than to water a tree that it quickly withered?

Each gardener seeks to create the best conditions for trees growing on his plot. And, nevertheless, there are situations when the owner has a question: how can you water a tree so that it quickly withers? To some, this method seems inhumane, but sometimes there is simply no other way out.

For example, it may happen that the tree is already old, its trunk is more than 30 cm in diameter, but it is not possible to cut it and dump it, because there are buildings in the immediate vicinity or all the space around is occupied by other plants. And then there is only one thing - to dry the tree with chemicals.

Use of chemicals to destroy the tree

If you decide to resort to chemicals to dry the tree, then you should choose the best tool for this. Most often, chemical substances have their effect on the root system of the plant. Before pouring the root of the tree to dry it, it is necessary to know the composition of the soil beneath it. Sometimes, instead of roots, they are exposed to chemicals on the bark of the tree or its living tissues.

If there is such an opportunity, you can cut down the tree trunk, and then use chemicals to destroy the stump. So you can get rid of the unwanted tree on your site even faster. Let's look at what chemical means can be used to dry the tree:

  1. Sodium nitrate is used most often to stumps. However, sometimes it is also brought directly into the soil or tree trunk. A faster effect can be obtained if you enter nitrate into a hollow tree: in a year the tree will dry up and it can be burned. Watering the soil will only be effective after a few years.
  2. Ammonium nitrate is similar in its effect to sodium, but it also has a difference. Such nitrate based on urea accelerates the process of decomposition of wood, and then the roots of the tree become a fertilizer. In this case, the trunk with emerging signs of drying can be uprooted, and the roots opened again with a solution of ammonium nitrate.
  3. Herbicides "Roundup" or "Tornado" are most often used to destroy unwanted trees. Apply these funds in the deconstruction of low-value young plantations, and if necessary, remove the stand in coniferous plantations. "Arsenal" and "Arbonal" preparations have a high penetration ability in wood, they are used for thinning large tracts of forest, as well as in nurseries and other agricultural plantations.
  4. "Pikloram" is effective both in watering the soil, and when spraying the tree itself. This drug acts depressingly on the root system, which leads to the drying of the entire plant.
