Lawrence told about her attitude to the diet

Those fans who follow the life and work of the 27-year-old Jennifer know that the actress is very negative about nude scenes in the movies. That's why many of the roles she rejects, believing that she can not film, undressing in front of the camera. Despite this, the scenario of the "Red Sparrow" was very interested in the movie star, and she accepted the offer from the director Francis Lawrence. So Jennifer explained her decision:

"When I read the story of the Russian spy, I was delighted with her courage and resourcefulness. I've always wanted to play such a heroine, especially since the plot of the tape is highly action-packed, and I really like to act in such a movie. The only thing that bothered me was the presence of nude scenes. In the film, I repeatedly undress in front of the camera and, frankly, it was very difficult for me to do it. At first I thought about going around these scenes somehow and even was going to talk with Francis about it, but then I realized that playing a seductive spy without undressing was simply impossible. Then, I took myself in hand and just started playing, not paying attention to anyone. "

After that, Jennifer said a little about how she was preparing for the role of Dominica:

"As you probably know, Egorova is a former dancer, which means that the girl should have been very slender. Before I appeared on the set, I took a hard diet. It was necessary not only to lose weight, but also to feel hungry. Those people who are familiar with the ballet know that since the childhood ballerinas are sitting on diets, constantly feeling the desire to eat something. It was this feeling that I had to cultivate in myself. Without this, I could not play a ballerina. "

Then Lawrence told about how she had a nervous breakdown:

"During the filming in the Red Sparrow, I practically did not eat anything. Only now do I understand how disciplined I was. Once I broke up and ate 5 banana chips and you know how it ended? I had a nervous breakdown. I was shocked by my actions, but there was nothing I could do about it. After this, the first time in my life I went to a therapist who worked with me for several months. In this whole situation, I enjoyed only one thing: after shooting, I could eat properly again. And it happened. I began to eat, and the situation with my psyche was normal. After that I concluded that I was not created to be hungry. "

Lawrence told about the relationship with Darren Aronofsky

At the end of the interview, Jennifer decided to tell about how she develops relations with the director Aronofsky, with whom she collaborated in the tape "Mom!":

"You know, I met Darren before work at Mama!" Now I can say that we have an amazing relationship. When we worked in a thriller, we became partners, after the shooting was over, our relationship grew into a romantic one. If we remove some incomprehensible speculation, then we are still friendly and respect each other very much. I think that our relations played a rather big role in how we move forward. I'm sure that we have not yet one joint project ahead. "
