Pathological jealousy

Pathological jealousy is a state of absolute conviction in the actual or potential ability of a partner to change .

Show and revenge!

The clinical symptoms of this disease are usually expressed in the fact that the jealous (or jealous) is constantly looking for evidence of the infidelity of his second half, and even the most powerful and convincing arguments about the devotion of the latter he perceives as a well-planned "policy of camouflage," which has under him one the only goal: to put him to sleep (or her) vigilance. Moreover, the patient suffering from pathological jealousy, the signs of which can manifest themselves gradually and develop according to the increasing, usually elaborates in detail the various options for revenge and carefully prepares for it (for example, carries a weapon, in case he manages to catch cheaters with red-handedness).

Male jealousy

Pathological jealousy in men is more common than in women, and it is mostly due to changes in the psyche caused by alcohol or drugs, and may also have a developing schizophrenia with pronounced paranoid ideas. The jealous man organizes constant surveillance of his wife, sometimes using the most modern methods, including eavesdropping bugs, security cameras or so-called false mirrors in her bedroom. The "demon" of her husband's pathological jealousy, sitting in his head, constantly whispers to him that the faithful, sleeps and sees how he would change, and it does not matter with whom: it can be a pizza deliveryman and a driver of a passing car, and consultant in a hardware store. All his beliefs in the absurdity of such assumptions he perceives extremely aggressively, considering them as yet another proof of his rightness: the innocent will not be justified.

Women's jealousy

The causes of pathological jealousy in women, in principle, coincide with the etymology of the same disease in men, only in contrast to the latter, in women, the catalyst for such a misfortune is often depression , which is based on an inferiority complex embedded in the childhood and developed into a hypertrophic mania of distrust to a partner. Life next to such a jealousy slowly turns into hell and at best ends in a scandalous parting. At worst, even a lethal outcome is possible, such as a lady who is convinced of the unfaithfulness of her lover is capable of the most radical actions and the most sophisticated ways of revenge.

To avoid such tragedies, it is necessary to understand one fact: the pathological jealousy of a man or a woman is a mental disorder requiring medical treatment. All attempts to cope with this disaster on their own usually end badly, and with any suspicion of an abnormally-hypertrophied feeling of jealousy, one must seek qualified help.
