Prayer to Saint Luke

St. Luke the Evangelist is one of the seventy apostles (ie, disciples) of Christ, the author of one of the Gospels, the first icon painter. Alas, the story did not save much information about St. Luke. It is known only that he was from a pious Greek family, perhaps he was an artist and a doctor.

In Christianity, St. Luke is considered the patron of all doctors and artists, for the first icon of the Most Holy Theotokos was created by his holy hands.

Luke was an associate of St. Paul and until the end of his days, remained inseparable. He took part in all the missionary journeys of Paul, and after his martyrdom, he went to wander the world and spread the faith of Christ.

St. Luke was waiting for the same fate - a martyr's death in the name of Christ, as the last test of the firmness of faith.

Luke was hanged in Thebes in 82 AD.

It is believed that St. Luke is the author of the New Testament of non-Jewish origin. He painted the icons of Our Lady of Vladimir, Częstochowa Mother of God, Sumy Mother of God, Tikhvin Mother of God, Kikkian Mother of God.

The relics of St. Luke are kept in Padua, in the Basilica of Saint Justina. He is revered by both Catholics and Orthodox.

St. Luka reads prayers about welfare in the family, about the elimination of conflicts between spouses, about the establishment of relations with relatives.

St. Luke the Crimean

Valentin Feliksovich Voino-Yasenetsky was born in the late XIX century in Kerch in the family of impoverished spouses of a noble family. Before becoming a bishop and archbishop, St. Luke (or V. Voino-Yasenetsky) was a surgeon, writer, professor of medicine. In 1946, he

became Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea, but before that, he served two links.

In anticipation of his death, which was the logical conclusion of the life of the majority of the repressed, he wrote a will, where he prayed people to remain faithful to the church and not to make concessions to Bolshevik power. In total, St. Luke departed there 11 years.

People read prayers for healing on the grave of St. Luke long before he was canonized. The people believed their archbishop. Later, the church ranked him as a saint and transferred his relics to Holy Trinity Cathedral, where today everyone can ask St. Luke about his health in his prayers.

Prayer to St. Luke about pregnancy

Saint Luke was not only a shepherd, but also a doctor. He healed the souls and bodies of the sick and with prayers and with his skills. Many women, from whom doctors have long renounced, pray the highest gift for the person - the child, thanks to the prayers for the pregnancy of St. Luke.

Prayers should be read daily, repeating the prayer 40 times without stopping. Prayer to St. Luke about recovery from infertility should be read before the icon, with a lit church candle, sitting on his knees.

Before praying, ask God for forgiveness for your sins.

Remember, infertility is not, there is a will of God that is capable, how to give you a child, and to deprive you of this miracle.

In order for St. Luke to ask God for you, you need to lead a righteous lifestyle , not to yield to temptation and get rid of bad habits, not to swear, not to waste time and, of course, to be an exemplary Christian wife.

St. Luke and deliverance from diseases

St. Luke believed that the healing effect of prayers can be explained both scientifically and spiritually.

First of all, getting sick, a person starts to panic and get nervous: he is afraid that he will not cope with the disease, that he will not be able to finish the job, will be dismissed because of his unfitness, he will not be able to provide his family, etc. In such a state, a sick organism is immersed even more in an ailment, and the disease can become "incurable". St. Luke said that the reading of prayers from illnesses helps to balance the patient's mental state, calm, pacify, induce him to believe in recovery. In such a relaxed state, the patient can indeed overcome any ailment.
