Soil preparation for seedlings
The earth for seedlings should be taken as close as possible to the one in which this seedling will later grow. There are many ways, we advise the soil to be decontaminated in a water bath for an hour. After the soil has cooled, it is possible to restore its microflora with preparations "Baikal EM1" or "Biostim".
Do not try to roast your soil in the oven - you will burn even humus. Also, you should not water the land with boiling water with divorced manganese, after such watering, nothing useful will remain in the soil, and this will lead to the fact that seedlings will not develop.
Soil preparation in the greenhouse
March-April - it's time to start preparing the soil. To ensure that in your own greenhouse in the future you have collected an excellent crop, you first need to get a fertile substrate. Here are a few recipes for obtaining a good substrate:
- Peat, humus, sawdust, turf land - all we take in equal proportions.
- Peat 6 parts, sawdust and humus in 2 parts.
- Humus and peat for 3 parts, turf ground 2 parts, sawdust 1 part.
- The sod land is 5 parts and peat or humus is also 5 parts.
The soil that you got is transferred to a greenhouse and starts from it to form beds approximately 35 cm high and about 80 cm wide. Between the beds leave a passage no less than 70 cm.
Then we need to fertilize our beds. To do this, take 1 m & sup2 to take:
- potassium sulphate 1 tbsp. a spoon;
- superphosphate 1 tbsp. a spoon;
- urea 1 teaspoon;
- wood ash (any deoxidizer) 1 glass.
After you have all fertilized, you need to dig a good ground so that the soil is enriched with oxygen. To dig should be to a depth of 15-20 cm.
Soil preparation for planting
The preparation of soil for seedlings is almost complete. It remains only five days before the transplanting of your seedlings, your dug rusts are poured with a solution of hot water (10 liters) and 0.5 liquid mullein. Mullein can be replaced by 1 glass of bird droppings. To water it costs the filtered solution in view of 5 liters on 1 m & sup2. After that, cover the beds with a clean thin film to keep warm and moisture.
