In winter, the Europe park in Germany was first opened only in December 2001, and in the winter of 2012 it was visited by about 500 thousand people. For this period the park is changing: there are Christmas decorations and a Christmas market, a specially built Ferris wheel, a skating rink and much more.

Every day the park receives about 50 thousand visitors, for accommodation of which the so-called Evropa-Park Resort is built, which combines five hotels, a guest house located near the main entrance to the park, and campsites. The city of Rust, where Europe Park is located, is located 40 km from Freiburg, near the place where Germany, France and Switzerland are bordered.
