Turkey invites tourists not only to lie on their beaches in summer, but also to ski in winter. And since this kind of winter sports is becoming more and more popular and popular as a kind of active pastime, the popularity of Turkey as a mountain-skiing country is growing, thanks to the Uludag mountain range.
"The huge mountain" is the name of the famous ski resort of Uludag in Turkey, which is located 150 km from Istanbul and only 45 km from Bursa.
The weather in Uludag is very changeable. In summer, the temperature rises on the average to 15-25 ° C during the day, and drops to 8-22 ° C at night. The warmest months are July and August. In winter, snowfalls are frequent here, so the snow cover is stable and reaches 3 m. January is the coldest month of the year, at this time the air temperature is: daytime up to -8 ° C, and at night -16 ° C. The best snow for skiing here lies from late December to early April.
The modern resort of Uludag in Turkey is well known to a large number of tourists with its magnificent nature, mineral springs, good conditions for skiing, and, importantly, the presence of 15 comfortable hotels with high-level service, all-inclusive food and developed tourist infrastructure.
All the ski runs of the resort are located high (1750 - 2543 m above sea level). In total, Uludag has 38 slopes with a total length of 16 km 175 m, including 18 - blue (the simplest), 17 - red (medium complexity) and 3 black (high complexity) trails. The length of the largest descent is 3 km. Since here there are mostly simple and medium difficulty trails, this makes the resort the most suitable for a family vacation and learning skiing for beginners. All the routes of the resort Uludag are wide, well-groomed, with magnificent rolls and lie mostly in the forest. Only the descents intended for experienced skiers are laid outside the forest tracts.

For beginners, the Uludag ski school works, where experienced instructors conduct group and individual classes. On average, an hour of working with an instructor will need to pay about 30-40 dollars for a group and 80-100 dollars for an individual lesson.
In the hotel "Fahri" you can visit the indoor ice rink ($ 15 per hour), and you can take a toboggan or snowmobile rental for 100-150 dollars per hour. From here it is very convenient to go on an excursion to Bursa, where you can visit well-known Turkish baths on the West, visit the historical sights of the city (old mosques, the Covered Market, etc.) or go to the thermal spring Yalova, with a constant water temperature of 37 - 38 ° C for throughout the year.
