The Week of Haute Couture is taking place in Paris. One of the most anticipated events was the fashion house Chanel, whose creative director is Karl Lagerfeld. The 84-year-old fashion designer is very fond of spectacular shows, and this time he pleased his star guests with a show of the spring-summer collection of 2018 in the Great Palace - the architectural structure to the left of the Champs Elysees. As many have already guessed, a lot of famous guests have gathered to get acquainted with the new collection: actresses Marion Cotillard and Isabelle Huppert, singer Rita Ora and many others.

Karl Lagerfeld always chooses for shaping his collections rather slender, if not more, models. Girls do not have well-defined figures, and many experts in the field of medicine believe that they all suffer from anorexia. Despite this, Karl continues to show clothes on ascetic young models and one of them, which shone in the show, was 16-year-old Kaya Gerber, the daughter of ex-model Cindy Crawford. The girl presented a cream-colored dress, which was decorated with feathers and rhinestones.
From the star guests who were present at the show, it was possible to single out the actress Marion Cotillard. She appeared at the event in an elongated dark blue in a sweater, black pantyhose and the same color boots. Actress Isabel Huppert also decided to present clothes in dark blue and black colors. At the show of Karl Lagerfeld, Isabel appeared in a chiffon long dress with a pleated skirt, and also in a short leather jacket and black shoes. Singer Rita Ora decided to demonstrate a sporty style that combined gray-white sneakers and the same shade of a short dress with a hood and zipper in front. This creation was represented by Karl in his last collection.
Model Sasha Luss appeared on the show of an 84-year-old couturier in a jacket of white and black color range from the Chanel brand, voluminous velvet pants and massive black shoes. Ballet actress Oreli Dupont came to the event in a white T-shirt, jeans and a jacket from Karl Lagerfeld, adding the image of a black high-heeled shoes. Another guest I want to mention is the French model Caroline de Megre. The 42-year-old celebrity appeared on the Lagerfeld show in a black turtleneck, dark blue trousers and a white cashmere coat.

Karl spoke about working in the fashion world
After the collection was finished, Lagerfeld decided to speak before the press, saying the following words about his collection:
"Now the high fashion is experiencing its revival. People want to see something unusual, futuristic and extraordinary. The demand for the Chanel Fashion House model is simply crazy. Now it is very difficult to sell classics. Nobody needs it. People want to look special, constantly standing out from the crowd. And the most interesting thing is that not only the styles that are in fashion are important, but also the materials from which the outfits will be sewn. This collection embodied all my ideas and it turned out amazing!Frankly, I still develop every model myself. I do not like working with artists and drawing all the sketches myself. At me it is quite good it turns out, in fact earlier I dreamed to become the designer, and in the fashion world has got absolutely casually. So, a day I can draw about a hundred sketches, but 99% of them are in the trash. So I work and so worked all my life.
