Newborn children are most susceptible to skin reactions to external stimuli, allergens, an incorrect temperature regime. In the first months of a baby's life, moms often find dense crusts on the baby's head - so-called milk or gneiss. Do not be frightened, because despite the sloppy and slightly frightening appearance, seborrheic dermatitis (namely, this is the name of this phenomenon in medicine) is not dangerous for the baby, and with proper care passes quickly without special treatment.
Symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis
Children's seborrheic dermatitis is manifested in the form of yellow fat scaly crusts in the scalp. Sometimes they spread to the area behind the ears, into the inguinal folds, to the skin of the handles and legs. In severe form, seborrhea can be accompanied by diarrhea and general malaise in the baby. If the immunity of the child is weakened, the conditions of detention and care are violated, then infection is possible and then the manifestations of seborrheic dermatitis will be particularly pronounced, and treatment is difficult.
