World Humanitarian Day

Each of us at least once in life helped the needy. No matter how difficult it was to live, and there's always a place for such a small feat. It is not surprising that the International Day of Humanitarian Aid became a full-fledged holiday, a peculiar way of saying that people with kind hearts will never be transferred.

August 19 - Day of Humanitarian Aid

Most likely, our person is not yet familiar with this date, because they have been celebrating it since 2008. However, for powerful and civilized countries, the Day of Humanitarian Assistance, if not a holiday in the traditional sense, then the important date is accurate.

As a rule, on this day, all sorts of charity events or auctions conduct all kinds of volunteer communities, trying to attract as many people as possible. And even if a person has not been able to help the needy up to this day, he is likely to want to take part. World Humanitarian Day is often accompanied by a variety of exhibitions. Practice shows that many people are more eager to purchase cute knickknacks or jewelry than just drop bills into boxes or make translations.

The Day of Humanitarian Aid is not dispensed with and without thanks to those who have become salvation and hope for people. By the way, after all, the date of August 19 was not chosen by chance. It so happened that such holidays are timed to important events, and not always joyful. It was on this day in 2003 that some of the UN staff died, saving people's lives after the explosion in the hotel.

Today, on the International Humanitarian Aid Day, activists are trying to attract as many people as possible, talk about their work and look for ways to help those who really need it. Of course, the World Humanitarian Aid Day may not be celebrated somewhere in the outback of our country. But even at the level of an open lesson in school, this is already a small step towards a new attitude of the younger generation to this issue.
