Albania is a small cozy country, which is becoming more popular with travelers. Prices in hotels here are low and the climate is attractive. It remains only to find out the situation with the visa to Albania.

Do I need a visa to Albania?

For citizens of Ukraine, a visa is not needed. For a stay in Albania it is enough to have a passport that would be good for another six months. At the same time, the country is allowed to stay no longer than three months within six months.

Russians, as well as residents of more than 60 countries, require a visa to Albania . Its reception, as a rule, does not cause any difficulties.

Features of visa registration

To apply for a visa, you need the following documents:

  1. Questionnaire.
  2. One photo.
  3. A photocopy of the current passport. The minimum number of free pages is two.
  4. Insurance for the whole trip. The minimum amount is € 30000.
  5. A document from the hotel confirming that you booked the room there.
  6. Confirmation from the bank that you have a minimum of € 50 for each day of your stay in Albania.
  7. Reference from work. It should indicate the position held, the income and length of service.
  8. Pensioners need to provide a copy of the pension certificate.
  9. Help from the university for students and a copy of the student's ticket plus a sponsorship letter.

Nonworking people must file a certificate from the workplace of the spouse and confirm that they are indeed married. For the latter, a copy of the marriage certificate is required.

If you plan to relax with children , you also need to collect:

  1. A certified photocopy of the birth certificate.
  2. Notarized authorization of parents to travel (if they do not go).
  3. A photocopy of parents' passports.
  4. Sponsorship letter.

There is a possibility that the visa for Albania will be canceled for the summer. At least, this tradition has been supported annually since 2009.

If you travel by group, you can get an Albanian visa right on the border of the country. But it will only last 72 hours.

Documents for the visa are submitted to the Albanian consulate. You can apply personally and with the help of a trustee. The period for consideration of the application is 7 days. Remember, when submitting documents, you need to pay a visa fee of € 30.
