Going to the store to buy, you must first determine the following parameters:

1. The size of the carpet . Decide where the carpet will lie, how much it should occupy space on the floor. Typically, small carpets (up to 2.5 square meters) are placed in front of the cot or near the wardrobe. Carpets of medium size (2.5-6 sq.m.) can be placed in the middle of the room, under the bed, between the bed and other furniture. Large carpets (more than 6 square meters) are a significant floor covering, to which special requirements are made.
2. Carpet making material . Children's carpets can be both natural and artificial materials. The best option is a carpet weaved from polyamide (nylon). It has many advantages, such as fire safety, hypoallergenicity, durability, wear resistance, ease of maintenance.
3. Type of carpet . You need to choose from woven (lint-free), wicker and tufted goods. Woven carpets do not shed and do not comb out, but if you need a soft carpet on the floor, it is better to choose a woven with a looped or cut pile. And as for tufted carpets, they wear out too quickly, since their nap is glued to the base, so long-term such products can not be called.
4. The length of the pile . For a nursery it is better to choose carpets with a pile from 5 to 15 mm, thus it should be one height and painted in weight, instead of in a printed way.
5. Design . The carpet can be either a neutral element or the main accent of the room. Much will depend on the color and pattern on the wallpaper and furniture: if they are bright and active, then the carpet should be neutral, and vice versa. Also the design will differ, depending on the gender of the room's occupant:
