The capital of the southern province of Vietnam, Baria-Vung Tau, is the city of Vung Tau, which is one of the most developed beach resorts on the coast of the South China Sea. Disadvantages of the beaches are only two: periodic pollution of the sea with oil products and constant theft on the beach.

Vung Tau is a beautiful city with a peculiar architecture and buildings of the times of French colonization. The main attraction of the city - a statue of Jesus Christ, installed on the mountain of Nuino in 1974 and having a height of 32 m, which is 6 m above the Brazilian statue. The arms of Jesus (18.4 m wide) are spread out to the sides, and he is facing the South China Sea. To climb to the statue, you need to overcome about 900 steps, and to climb to the top - another 133 steps. You can go inside only in closed clothes. On the shoulders of the statue there are small observation platforms, accommodating no more than 6 people. They offer a stunning view.

Here, on Mount Nuino, is one of the largest and most beautiful temples of Vung Tau - the House of pure nirvana, better known as the temple of the "Reclining Buddha." It occupies an area of ​​about 1 hectare and is located on a hill with a beautiful view of the sea and beaches. This is a multi-tiered construction consisting of internal premises and open pavilions. One of the main exhibits is a twelve-meter statue of the reclining Buddha, which is made of mahogany and is decorated with carvings. On the belltower there is a bell weighing 3 tons, the height of which is 2.8 meters, and the diameter is 3.8 meters.
