Krasnodar temple of the Nativity of Christ is young enough. Since the beginning of its construction, only a little more than 20 years have passed, but despite this, it has had a significant impact on the life of the Kuban. The first Orthodox secondary school was opened at the church, and the rector of the church, Archpriest Alexander Ignatov, initiated the opening of the Rozhdestvensky orphanage.
History
The history of the Christmas temple in Krasnodar began in the 80-ies of the XX century, when in the south-western part of the city began to build a new district "Jubilee". It was planned to settle 60 000 inhabitants. In the late 80's several young families living in new buildings, converged in religious views and decided to organize an Orthodox community. It was with this question that they turned to the Ruling Archbishop, so that he would bless them.
In late summer of 1991, the Orthodox parish was officially registered, and the charter was approved, which described the main provisions of the association's activities. But the main thing is that a settlement account was opened to collect money for the construction of the temple. Everyone could wish to donate money to the townspeople and visitors of the city. The money arrived quickly enough, and in a short time it was possible to collect the necessary amount, therefore, in January 1992, the results of the contest for the best temple project were summed up. It was chosen to build on the bank of the river Kuban. The temple was built according to the project of two Krasnodar architects Subbotins.
On May 10, 1992, lighting and laying of the first stone took place, which was performed by Ekaterinodar and Kuban Metropolitan. In September of the same year, two railroad cars were sawn and installed on the territory of the church. It was these uncomplicated structures that became the premise for the first Orthodox educational institution in the Kuban.
The first dome with a cross over the bell tower was erected in late autumn 1997, and the central one - in the beginning of summer 1998, that is, after 8 months. Construction was completed only in November 1999, and consecrated two months later - on January 2, 2000. The first Liturgy took place on the Feast of the Nativity of Christ the Savior on the night of 6 to 7 January 2000.

Schedule of services

Orphanage "Rozhdestvensky"
Orphanage for orphans and disabled "Rozhdestvensky" can be called one of the most comfortable in the country. In the institution, children are divided into groups according to gender. Each group has playrooms and study rooms, as well as two bedrooms. The building has spacious halls and galleries, which provides good conditions for active children.
One floor is also allocated to create an out-of-group social adaptive environment. Children have the opportunity to visit the art studio, two libraries. If necessary, a speech therapist and a psychologist work with them, and also a room for psychological relief and Kuban life is prepared for children.
The children of the orphanage grow up in a very kind atmosphere and receive proper education and care.
