If you are going to fly by plane, then in order not to be in an awkward situation, you need to carefully study the rules of baggage transportation, as they are strictly regulated.
In the article you will get acquainted with the rules of carrying liquids in an airplane.
For safety requirements on the aircraft, passengers are allowed to carry the following liquids in hand luggage:
- water, drink, soup and syrup;
- cream, oil, lotion;
- perfume, eau de toilette, cologne;
- aerosols and deodorants;
- shower and hair gels;
- shaving foam;
- Toothpaste;
- liquid-solid mixtures;
- cosmetical tools;
- other substances of liquid consistency.
How to carry liquids in an airplane?
Follow these rules:
- transportation of liquids in the aircraft is allowed in containers of up to 100 ml each, and for countries such as the USA and Canada - up to 90 ml;
- containers with liquids must be stacked in a transparent, sealed package, measuring 18x20 cm;
- the volume of the entire fluid carried into the aircraft should not exceed 1 liter per person;
- liquids in containers of more than 100 ml are not accepted for transportation, even if the capacity is partially filled.
- Passengers must present all transported liquids to security officers for inspection;
- necessary during the flight of medical products and baby food can be carried in hand luggage without packaging in special plastic bags, but passengers must document their need;
- exceeding the permissible limit of the volume of liquid will be collected by the airport staff during the inspection;
- alcohol, soft drinks, perfumery and cosmetics purchased in the duty-free zone, it is necessary to pack everything in special packages there and close them, not to print before the end of the flight.
All these rules are common to all carriers, but airlines, depending on the country of destination and domestic policy, may impose additional restrictions on the amount of liquid in carry-on baggage carried to the aircraft.
So, for example:
- when flying to the United States it is forbidden to carry absolutely any alcohol on board the aircraft;
- when flying by transit route from a non-European country through the EU countries do not buy liquids in Duty-Free, as they are most likely to be withdrawn during transit at a transit airport.
All other liquids authorized for carriage in an airplane, but which do not meet the requirements for carrying in hand luggage by quantity, must be pre-placed in luggage.
When going on a trip, be sure to specify the list of things, products and liquids that are banned or there are restrictions on the importation or exportation of them from a particular country.
