So, it is decided - we are going to conquer the mountain peaks of Sheregesh. But where and how to get there? Our road lies to the south of Siberia, to the Kemerovo region, where five kilometers from the village Sheregesh found a place and the eponymous ski resort. It is part of the mountain range of Gornaya Shoria, the size of which is comparable to the area of ​​Belgium. It is quite easy to get to Sheregesh, it's enough to just take a bus to any of the nearby airports (Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo) to the station. The village of Sheregesh began its history quite recently - in the 50s of the 20th century. It was founded as a working village for the extraction of iron ore, but in 1981, alongside it was built a ski resort, designed for the Spartakiad. For the next 20 years, Sheregesh has practically not developed in order to get a push in development with the advent of the new millennium and acquire the glory of a resort with a sufficiently high level of service.

1. First, a fairly long ski season. You can ski here from mid-November to the end of April. The temperature of the air all this time is kept at -10 ...- 150 C, and the thickness of the snow cover is from 1 to 4 meters.

All the routes of the resort are divided into four categories, depending on the level of complexity - from the simplest green to the very complex black. The length of descents in Sheregesh ranges from 500 to 3900 m, with a drop in altitudes from 300 to 630 meters.
