Combined houses

As practice shows, for the last few years people have been trying not to save their entire lives on apartments, and gradually build houses in small suburban areas. Quite often there are combined houses in the style of a French chalet or a German half-timbered house, and this trend is quite natural. The fact that the combined finish of the facade of the house makes it possible to solve a number of problems that are encountered in the construction.

Home from the combined materials: a tribute to fashion or real benefit?

So that you can easily find a common language with the construction team and can explain your wishes, the first step is to understand the definitions:

Combined houses today are becoming a solution to many problems. First, they combine all the advantages of the buildings of stone and wood. In this case, one material covers the shortcomings of the second. If the stone perfectly copes with the influence of atmospheric influences, ignitions and is highly durable, then the tree lags far behind in this respect. But completely stone buildings are much more expensive than combined ones.

It is also necessary to take into account the fact that not every soil can withstand heavy structures of stone or brick. That is why combined wooden houses are much more practical and affordable.

Combined houses: the construction process

The process of construction has not changed much and all stages of the construction of modern composite designs are completely repeating the experience of the past centuries.

  1. The first floor is built of brick, modern concrete and cellular blocks, and also use monolithic concrete. Many advise choosing the blocks, as they exclude the possibility of mold due to their air permeability. As an external protection of blocks you can use a special plaster or coat. Most often there are combined houses with a garage and a fireplace room, a kitchen and a sauna on the first floor. In other words, all rooms that require additional thermal insulation and are in conditions of high humidity.
  2. The first floor is occupied exclusively in the warm season. Then you can safely start working with the tree.
  3. When constructing a combined one-story or multi-storey building, one important point is always taken into account: work with the border of stone and wood. To achieve the necessary strength and rigidity, use special reinforcement pins fixed on the last part of the masonry. The pins enter the tree and thus provide a reliable fixation of the joints.
  4. After that, lay a layer of roofing material and already on top of the tree. Preliminary in the beams make holes for metal pins.
  5. A combined house with an attic or several floors with any combination of two materials will be divided in half. Many people prefer to beat this border a bit. In the role of such decor, so-called belts or consoles usually act.

Often when combining do just two inputs. Particularly convenient, when the entire first level is allocated for utility rooms, and the second floor or attic for housing.
