Cystitis in children: treatment

Cystitis is a very unpleasant disease, which consists in inflammation of the bladder with frequent urge to the toilet "in a small way". It is characterized by frequent relapses that create big trouble for you and your baby. In order to better understand what should be the approach to treatment, let us dwell a little on the causes of this disease.

How to treat cystitis in children?

First of all, it should be noted that cystitis is an inflammatory process, caused by the ingestion of E. coli (Escherichia coli) into the bladder cavity. Normally, urge in the toilet comes from the walls of the bladder, when it is filled with 2/3. Well and in that case when e. coli constantly annoying walls - I want to write constantly.

From all the above it follows that the main cause of the occurrence of cystitis is a pathogenic microbe - E. coli. That is, in order to save your child from suffering, you need to destroy it - apply antibiotics.

Antibiotics for children with cystitis

IMPORTANT! Before beginning treatment, be sure to sow the crop. What is this for? In the laboratory, they will "grow" a strain of microorganisms that "attacked" your child in particular, and test them for sensitivity to different antibiotics. This is done in order to choose the most effective, but also safe preparation for the child. While the result is expected, the doctor will prescribe to your child a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Treatment can be intense - the antibiotic is prescribed for 3 days, or extensive, that is, the doctor prescribes the drugs for 7 days (in smaller doses).

After the uroculture (seeding results) is ready, the doctor can change (but it is not necessary, it all depends on the sensitivity of the microbe) your main drug.

Usually, with cystitis, preparations are prescribed from the group of fluoroquinolones, sulfonamides, penicillins or, in special cases, tetracyclines.

It is not recommended that you use drugs without prescribing a doctor, since all antibiotics can cause side effects of varying severity.

Treatment of chronic cystitis in children

Once getting rid of the hated E. coli, your baby is not immune from the new "colonization" of his bladder. What to do in order to prevent relapse?

More recently, scientists have invented a kind of "vaccine" from e. coli. As you probably know, vaccines are particles of microbes, or dried microorganisms that are not able to become pathogens of the disease, but are capable of stimulating immunity. For example, even if a child has never had measles, his immunity will be "familiar" with the virus that excites her, in the event that you have instilled a baby.

On this principle, scientists created a "vaccination" of E. coli. The drug is called "Uro Vaksom", it is released in capsules and contains dried microorganisms that will "acquaint" the immunity with all 18 strains of Escherichia coli and will aim to kill the microorganism if it somehow appears in your baby's bladder.

Thus, you can cure children from chronic cystitis.

In order to achieve the maximum effect of treatment, it is necessary to adhere to a diet - to exclude smoked, peppery, salty, carbonated and containing caffeine. Thus, you will help the body to overcome the disease.

Also, it is proved that such foods as cranberry juice (if the age of the baby allows, there is no predisposition to allergies and problems with the gastrointestinal tract) have a strong antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect, so this will be a good addition to the treatment.

Strongly it is not recommended to "warm" germs during an acute attack - this will only promote their reproduction. That is, no baths, hot boilers and other "heaters".
