Peacock from plastic bottles

Often in our homes a large number of plastic bottles accumulate, which we hasten to carry to the garbage dump more quickly. However, such rubbish can be a good material for creating crafts on various topics. For example, birds can be made from plastic bottles (peacock, swan, eagle, crane, etc.).

Making a peacock craft from plastic bottles: a master class

Before making a peacock from plastic bottles, the following materials should be prepared:

The creation of a peacock consists in the phased implementation of the following actions:

  1. First we prepare the bottles. Tear off the labels, my, dry it.
  2. Begin to make a tail of green bottles. Cut off the bottle neck and bottom, the middle part cut into three parts along.
  3. On the one hand we make a rounding so that it looks more like a feather. On each side we begin to cut a piece of bottle with scissors into thin strips.
  4. From the remains of the bottle, cut out a small circle and wrap it with foil.
  5. From a package of blue color, we now cut out an oval with a size a little more than a circle.
  6. We take the prepared pen from the green bottle and with the help of a stapler we attach first a blue oval, then a circle of foil. So we got one pen.
  7. Similarly, we make a large number of feathers for the tail of the peacock.
  8. We take a large bottle and cut out a semicircle with a diameter of 25 cm.
  9. We fasten the stapler to the semicircle of the feathers.
  10. One layer of feathers is ready for us. Now below we begin to fasten the next layer of feathers. Then another layer is even lower. The tail is made.
  11. We begin to make the body of a peacock. Take a 5-liter bottle and cut off the neck.
  12. At the two-liter bottle we cut off the bottom.
  13. Scotch we begin to attach to each other both bottles.
  14. Since we have left unused portions of the bottle (bottom and top), we use them to create a head.
  15. In the top part of the bottle we insert the plates. It will be a beak. On the side, attach the bottom of the other bottle with the scotch tape as shown in the picture below.
  16. Also with the help of an adhesive tape we attach the head to the body.
  17. Begin to make feathers on the body of a peacock. We take garbage bags, cut into ribbons with a width of 10 cm.
  18. Next, the strips must be folded along and rolled several times in half across. The edge is cut in such a way that triangles are obtained as in the figure.
  19. If you deploy the resulting strip, then we will see the "feathers" on both sides.
  20. We start again to put a strip with feathers, but not along, but asymmetrically. The first layer should be under the second, but the second should not cover the previous one.
  21. We start to stick to the body "feathers" going from tail to head. Place the folding tape with tape.
  22. We make a head. We wrap it with a garbage bag, leaving a little bag just below the head. Thus, it will be protruding from below feathers.
  23. We make a peacock crown from the remains of bottles, having primed them with an adhesive tape to the head. We attach shining circles to the crown.
  24. Now it remains to connect the trunk and tail. For this we use the usual rope. Previously, in the tail and body, you need to make small holes through which the rope will pass.
  25. Paint a beak and eyes.
  26. In the lower part of the trunk, you can make a hole and insert a stick into it. Such a peacock on a stick can be placed on the plot of land.

Since the bird is made of bottles that are small in weight, then for weighting, you can make a small hole on top of the torso and fill the sand with sand. So it will be more stable.

Such a beautiful piece of art is able to decorate any site. Also from plastic bottles you can make and other garden figures: penguins , a pig , a frog , bees , an owl , and others, which your fantasy will tell.
